I System Restore my Windows 7 too many times. Help?

So I took the Disc that came called System Restore with my laptop. And I followed the steps, I found out that the Disc system restores your computer to factory setting, and deletes all of your files. So I ended up doing this a couple of times to save me some times on deleting every single file I had. Now my computers wi-fi does not work, several utility are not installed. The parts are there in the computer, but not install. I don't have insurance on the computer. I still have the Windows.old , Windows.old00 , windows.old001 ect, ect. Is their some way I could fix this? BTW I don't have any Disc's to install any of the utility's. I only have System Restore, & Utility's Disc. But the Utility's Disc only allows me to install Windows XP programs, I have a Windows 7.

Better Answer

If you are lucky, those WINDOWS.OLD folders may contain some of your files. If they are indeed there, back them up to a DVD, flash drive or external hard drive. Once you've copied anything that's useful, you may delete those folders.

As for your wifi and other utilities, go to your computer manufacturer's website and download the drivers for Windows 7 and other applications intended for your model.
